
Anaconda
The Area V Agency on Aging contracts with Smelter City Senior Citizens to provide services through the Metcalf Center in Anaconda.
Congregate Meals: Meals are served five days a week at the Metcalf Center at noon. Transportation is available to and from the center for meals. Once a week riders are taken to a local grocery store to shop.
Home Delivered Meals: Meals are delivered to homebound seniors five days a week. Extra meals are available for the weekend upon request.
Transportation: Rides to and from appointments, including trips to Butte, are provided as requested.
Blood Pressure Clinics: A nurse is available to take blood pressure readings every Monday and Friday at the Metcalf Center from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Commodity Supplemental Food Program: Eligible seniors can receive monthly food baskets through the Metcalf Center.
Senior Companion Program: The Metcalf Center is a volunteer supervising site for the Senior Companion Program.
Activities: Billiards and puzzles five days a week, Line-Dancing Wednesdays and Fridays and Vetrans Services Officer available twice each month.
SHIP Counseling: A SHIP counselor from the Area V Agency on Aging provides help with Medicare once a month by appointment and every Monday through Open Enrollment, (Oct. 15-Dec. 7).
